Express Entry

Express Entry is the fast pathway that allows applicants to apply for permanent residency. To apply, you must qualify under one of these programs:

  1. Canadian Experience Class
  2. Federal Skilled Trade Program
  3. Federal Skilled Worker Program

Express entry is used to manage applications for the following programs :

Some Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) do recruit candidates from Express Entry pool.

Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

If you have the skills, education, and work experience to make an economic contribution to a specific province or territory of your choice or if you have family members who are willing and able to sponsor you to live in that province, you may apply to immigrate to that province or territory under the Provincial Nominee Program.

Family Sponsorship

Under federal immigration Laws, citizens and permanent residents of Canada can sponsor the following relatives regardless of the province of their residence :
Spouses, common-law or conjugal partners ;
Parents and grandparents ( Government of Canada is not accepting new applications to sponsor parents or grandparents, the next draw is expected to happen on January 2019 )
Dependent children, including adopted children;
Brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, or grandchildren who are orphans; under the age of 18 and not married or in a common-law relationship; or
You may also sponsor one relative of any age if you do not have an aunt, uncle, or family member from the list above who you could sponsor or who is already a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
 
If you are living in certain provinces the provincial law may allow you to sponsor your family including your brother, sister, and cousins under specific circumstances.
